Posted by Jean Lilienthal on November 16, 2004 at 02:41:24: I am looking for information on my grandmother, Maria Principe, and her family. She was born in Manfredonia in 1885. Her mother's name was Grace Farina and her father was Luigi Principe. I believe that she was raised in a convent, but I am not sure of that information. She married Carlo Cafarelli while still living in Italy and had at least one daughter, possibly still living in Italy. She also had a son Romeo and another son Guglielmo. They all immigrated to the U.S. before 1912. They moved to Bristol, Rhode Island and she had 7 more children, including my mother Jean. My grandfather returned to Italy around 1920. I could use some help in locating information on my grandmother and my grandfather while they were still living in Italy and I would like to go as far back in my family as possible.
