I am trying to find people that might have done some research about Eugenio Ceci Veltri (1864-1921 Napoli), or his immediate family.

He was my grandfather. His father was Carlo Ceci and his mother was Amalia Veltri Muñoz, both from Naples, but I’ve heard that the Ceci Surname came from the Adriatic Ocean, near to Puglia.

Eugenio studied, and graduated as professor at the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella, located in Naples. He mastered the harp, which is related to the Ophera. At first he traveled to Guatemala, Central América as part of group where he established. He and his partner Rafaelle Delli Ponti represented a company owned by Luigi Manresca which performed at the 1893 Ophera season.

In 1908 he married Tomasa Julia Padilla (grandmother), retired from music and went back to Napoli as Vice-cónsul of Guatemala.

He had 1 brother named Alberto Ceci Veltri (which had 2 sons: Armando and Renato) and 4 sisters named: Matilde, Eugenia, Giulia and Virginia. The latter, Virginia married a lawyer named Settimio Severo Caruso. (Caruso-Ceci Family)

He was the only member of the family to venture to América and the rest of his family remained there. I think some of them still live in or around Napoli. His brother Alberto move to Rome.

By the time he died, 1921 they used to live at Salita Ponte Corvo #60, close to Dante´s Piazza and the Conservatory. They had two daughters: María Amalia del Pilar Ceci Padilla 1911-- (my Aunt) and Yolanda (Iolanda) Virginia Ana 1915-1972 (my mother). The studied at Margherita de Savoia scuola located very close to their home: Salita Pontecorvo #72.

Thank you
