Ortona e Mare???

On my grandfather's immigration information (ship passenger list) his last residence is listed as what looks like Ortona e Mare. Does such a village / town exist? When I check the CAP listing it is not there. The immigration officer's fancy script handwriting is very hard to decipher, however. All I know is that the "e Mare" is absolutely what is written there.
