Hi, I have been looking for this cookie. My Father's mother made a fried cookie at Christmas with a ceci bean and chocolate filling. I would also like Vince's recipes for the ones they made. My Dad always talked about these cookies. He passed away last Christmas, I made him something like them but not like his Mothers. It's important to keep tradition. Please send me these recipes.
Thanks, Marion
: : : : My grandmother was from Castel Di Ieri (born 1898) She used to make these cookies with cici beans and chocolate in a half moon pastry. They were delicious! Does anyone have this receipe? Anyone from Castel Di Ieri?

: : : : Thanks!

: : : My husband was born in Castiglione a Casauria (1957). My mother-in-law makes these cookies but only at Christmas and I love them! She doesn't use ceci beans but she does use chocolate, chopped almonds, crushed cookies, and jelly. Sorry I don't have an exact recipe because she doesn't measure. I have to watch and take notes several times before I can duplicate her recipes. She also uses a variation of this filling as a filling between two pizzelle cookies to make a sandwich cookie but again, only at Christmas.
: I have a recipe for the filling using ceci beans but not for the dough. If you want it will be glad to e-mail it to you or give me your mailing address and I will send it to you. Vince Ross
