Lodging in Abruzzo
Subject: Lodging in Abruzzo
My husband and I will be visiting Abruzzo on August 11th through the 27th (tentatively) --- we would like to stay in a beach location for a couple of days (I heard that Pescara has one of the nicest beaches?) --- we would like to visit Sulmona for a couple of days --- also, we would like to visit Padre Pio's monastery of San Giovanni Rotondo, near Foggia and stay overnight there --- is there anyone who can recommend lodging in these places? Are there any B&B's in Italy? (We have been to Ireland and everywhere there are B&B's to choose from --- charming places run by charming people - a great way to experience another culture). My parents came from Popoli, Pescara, so I grew up with the Italian culture, and when in Italy, I especially like being among the local Italians.
