check out the italian white pages in Abruzzo 2000 in the area and surrounding areas from where you father came from. then write a letter to a select few people in italian and see what responses you get back. someone may be a relative that you write to, or know someone who is.

also write to the city magistrates as well as the parish churches with the information you might have from birth certificates, death certificate, marriage certificate. see what happens and good luck.
