: Has anyone come across Pietro Cavaiola who married Incoronata Mignogna and had a daughter in 1899 named Maria Nicola Cavaiola? Thanks.

I recently went on the Ellis Island website and found a listing for Pietro Cavaiola. I think the web address is ellisislandrecords.com
that website will have when he came to the U.S., how old he was and the name of the ship he came to the U.S. on. I think Pietro Cavaiola is the brother of my grandfather, Pasquale Cavaiola who came to the U.S. in 1898 when he was 14 years old. My uncle, Peter Cavaiola, who lived in Mount Vernon, NY was apparently named after him. My father, Lawrence Cavaiola was Peter's younger brother.
I think I remember my father mentioning that Pietro had moved to Altoona, PA to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad prior to his death.
