Guiseppe Pompa

Researching for my great grandfather Guiseppe Pompa. He was born about 1846 in Pretoro. He marries Agata D'Angelo in Popoli, Pescara Italy on 11 July 1877. On the marriage certificate his residence is listed as Popoli, but his town of birth is Pretoro. His father was Pasquale Pompa (died in Pretoro} and his mother is Camilla Pompa (also died in Pretoro). Agata was born in 1856, her father was Domenico and her mother was Celia Sabatelli(?). I have sent for the LDS films for both towns.

They went from Popoli to Bisegna (L'Aquilla) where their their first child Marie was born in 1878. They had 7 more children in Bisegna. They immigrated to the United States from Bisegna - Guiseppe in 1891, Agata and children in 1893. In America they lived first in Lawerence, MA and then moved to Haverhill.

Guiseppe died 19 Jan 1913 and Agata died June 1, 1922.
