Philomena,
the original spelling was Lamanda.
You say Sebastiano stayed in Italy, but once at least he traveled through Ellis Island, he is recorded in 1907 as going to brother Fiore, and his age was 26. With hism was traveling also Camillo Lamanda, 16, also a brother, who leaves behind his mother Maria. If you are sure Sebastiano stayed in Italy, he must have returned after that trip
In Fresagrandimaria there are no Lamanda families, and throughout the province of Chieti there are only 6. So his descendants may have moved to a nearby place.
A good possibility to check whether they are related would be to send them a letter.
You can obtain their addresses from the whitepages,
paginebianche.it/ writing Lamanda in the "cognome" and ch (abbreviation for the province of Chieti) in the "dove" field.
In this way however you will miss all descendants of the sisters, if there were any. A research in the Civil Records to find all brothers and sisters to Fiore may give you the names of the sisters and also who they married, since the date of marriage and surname of the husband is usually annotated on the original birth act. The Civil Records up to the year 1900 are available in the archive of Chieti.
