I figured I might jump in. I, too, am a Pellicciotta, whose name was changed a bit before the turn of the last century when my great-grandfather came over to the United States. He was also from Perano. Pellicciotta is a rather common name in Perano and throughout much of the southern Chieti for that matter, as you know. I had the amazing pleasure of meeting with some of my Perano relatives, both Pellicciotta and Pugliese, this past summer.

I see, Angelo, that you are Australian. I know Perth was a common destination at that time and some of my ancestors went there. There is probably likelihood we are very distantly related.

I wish I had some information to help you with your Roma search.
