Is there any chance that the names the relatives you have met in Perano, can be compared the the names of the relatives I know to live in Perano(by e-mail of course)?
Also, can you share some names in your family tree from around the turn of last century? I got some more information of another very likely relative, which has hit a dead end for now.

P.S. When European migration was a big thing here in Australia years ago, there were basically only two places migrants went to be processed, Melbourne and Perth. My mother's cousin live in Perth.
