Hello, my name is David Notari, and I currently live in the WI, am 49, and would like to find my birth mother in Italy. I read your note and I would like to know what procedure you used for tracking down your birth mother/father. I could use some guidance in this matter. I was living in an orphanage in L'Aquila until 1960, then adopted by an American-Italian couple from Illinois. My birth name is Maro Dini and the adoption went through Catholic Charities in either Lake or Cook county,Chicago IL.
Any paper work that I have on my adoption is all from the USA. In terms of paperwork, I have no access to any Italian information on my birth/baptismal or adoption.
