Peluzzi = Pelusi?

I have the surname of Pelusi in my family, and wonder whether Peluzzi might be the same name. I know how Ellis Island misspelled many Italian names, and this could be one of them. The earliest Pelusi I know of is Luigi (1892-1983), who married Elena Savini who was born in Nocciano.
