Doug, thank you for responding. Are you related to any Andriolas from New Jersey? My great,great,grandparents Vito and Antonetta came to the US circa 1885, and we do not have any info going further back. Their oldest son, my greatgrandfather, was Tommaso. From my research, it appears Tommaso was a common first name in Perano, because San Tommaso was a patron saint. Hence, we believe Perano was their town. We are not 100% sure. My Uncle said they were from near Pescara, and my Aunt said she believed they were Abruzzese. We know for certain, the name was ANDREOLA in Italy. When you were in Perano, did you do any research in the Municipio? Is it possible to search old birth records, etc. there? Thanks, Bill.
