De Innocentis descendants

My great grandfather, Giuiseppe De Innocentis was born in Lanciano in the 1800's. He married
Emma Giorgi in Ottone, Italy, while stationed there as a member of the Kings Guard. His
mother's family name was 'Pace' and his father was also born in Lanciano. As Guiseppe was in
the King's Guard and I would also like to learn more about that group of soldiers and it's history.
I have my great grandfather's discharge papers which mention Palermo, but I know nothing
about the service he was in.
If you have any information that you could share about my family connection of De Innocentis or
Pace (and descendants of those families, perhaps still living in Lanciano or nearby) or of the
