I am brand new to this website but I have a story. My father and his family were born in San Donato. His name was Peter Leone. His parents were Dominck Leone and Donata Tempesta. They came here about 75 years ago and settled in NY. My mother's parents were also born there. Their names were Carmelo Rufo and Elvira Salvucci. No one ever went back. I was the first to go back and discovered that I have a great aunt who I think is still alive. She sould be 83. Her name is Marietta Rufo. She has always lived there. I have been back 3 times. In June I am taking my mother, 80 and her sister, 74 to San Donato. It will be their first time. This will be very emotional for them and I would like to make the most of the trip. Also, I would like to become more knowledgable about my culture and I would like to know how to find other family members. I hope this story wasn't boring for you! Can you give me suggestions?
