Have you checked the LDS records? The original records in Pastena were destroyed in the war but the LDS church microfilmed those before 1865. To get the information for the years between 1900 and 1865 will be difficult. The church records were also destroyed in the war. If your family were marrying in the 1880's you might be lucky enough to find them born before 1865.
