My wife and I am going on a tour of Italy on September 30th ending in Rome on October 13th I will then be spending another three days in Italy. I have reservations to stay in San Donato for two nights.
This is my first trip to Italy and as I heard so much about San Donato growing up I have always wanted to visit there.
My grandparents were from San Donato and my father grew up in San Donato and came to Brighton, Mass. at age 12 with my grandparents and uncles and shortly thereafter moved to Newton, Ma. I had many relatives in Brighton but have lost track of them.
I know there are many Leone's in San Donato but I don't know if any of them are related. While I am in San Donato I hope to be able to find where my father lived and any possible information on my grandparents and great grandparents.
I also have Antonellis relatives who were from San Donato. My mother was an Antonellis and I also had Antonellis relatives on the Leone side.
I would welcome any advice on how to get the most of my visit to San Donato.
