I am familiar with the Di Troia name in nearby Castel San Vincenzo (about 28 miles, 45 kilometers, to the east). This is the town my family is from. It is a fairly common name there. I am in touch with a woman in Montreal who is a Gualano/Di Troia from San Vincenzo. I also had a relative (a Di Iulio) who married a Di Troia. There was interaction between the villages in this area. As an example, I have a ggggrandfather from Pizzone (next to San Vincenzo) who married a woman from Picinisco in 1815. Feel free to email me if you would like to follow this up.
