Searching for information on Maciocia / di Placido

My Great Grandfather and Mother came from Sora and Isola di Lira - names were Antonio and Angela (di Placido) moved to US - disliked - and ended up arriving in Scotland. Around 1936-9 moved back to Sora with 2 of their children Alberto and Edda. Any more information from anyone?
