My great grandfather was Geatano Peter Crolla who married Mary Alice Kelsall. Geatano was one of 7 children of Antonio Crolla and his wife Felice. ( My great great grandparents )
Geatano was one of the 4 Crolla brothers who came to Ancoats in Manchester, the other brothers being Eugenio, Vittorio and Gerardo. I believe the girls names were Maria, Johanna and Jean. However I am less certain of this.
My grandfather was Henry Anthony Crolla who married Emily Kenyon, they were my mother Edna Crolla's parents
If you have not already done so, I advise you to google " little Italy. this a site full of information about the Italians who immigrated to Manchester and who are responsible for the huge Italian community. I hope this is useful, I would really appreciate scans of any photo's you may have
