Famiglia Quintiliani

I'm searching for any information on the Quintiliani surname in San Donato Val de Comino. My Grandfather, Ernesto Quintiliani emigrated her with a brother and two sisters in approx. 1920. I was once told that the many quintiliani families in San Donato each held a "Clan" name to differentiate them. I don't know how this system worked or what clan name my ancestors held. My ancestors from San Donato were in the stonecutting trade and I know my Grandfathers brother "Joe" was a sculptor.

Any info on the Clan system or on the Quintiliani surname as it applies to San Donato would be appreciated.
