I was intrigued by your message. My birth father was Nicholas Michael Proccaccini, born in Pettoranello in 1933, the youngest of 4 children. Family lore has it that his mother (name unknown) had 2 husbands. With the first she had Raymond and Frederick. With the second, a sister named Lucia and himself. When Nicholas was around 5 years old his parents died and all 4 siblings relocated to Princeton, NJ to live with relatives. Does any of this sound familiar to your family?
