Angeloni from Battle of Rome in Frosinone
We are aware of Luigi Angeloni, born Frosinone 1758, died in London in 1842. We understand that my great great grandfather, Giuseppe Angeloni, arrived in London about 1850 after supportng Garibaldi in the Battle of Rome (1849). He was about 36 years old, which gives a birth date of approximately 1814. It was also said, in the family, that he was later involved in the Orsini Plot, an unsucessful attempt to assassinate Napoleon III in 1858.
Various documents on record in England indicate that Giuseppe's father was named Antonio and a wine merchant, although we have no idea from what locality in Italy. We contact this forum on the possibility that he may have come from Frosinone. Appreciate any assistance or direction, thanks
